Payment must be received with in 3 days of the end of the auction you won. If you bought an item at buy it now I prefer you pay immediately if possible. My prefer choice of payment is paypal which will accept most major credit cards.
I would also like to say that if you choose insurance and an item unfortunately arrives broken or damaged you must keep the item and the box with all it's contents to show proof to your post office. They then contact mine and we take it from there. I have received this info from my postal lady. 
Update to shipping. Shipping now consist of a Delivery Confirmation.
That fee is added into the amout you pay to ship as the handle fee is, however these two fees do not show on the package.
Shipping fee is based on packing materials, handling fees and weight.
The ebay calculator does not give the breakdown, only the grand total to ship.
