WARRANTY POLICY

Our products are backed by original manufacturer´s standard warranties. Each product will come packaged with the manufacturer´s warranty statement and warranty service instructions. Any products being claimed as originally damaged or defects are subject to the manufacturer«s repair and/or replacement policy.

Please contact us through the eBay message system or direct at support@amodernrenaissance.com for any questions or concerns, replacement parts, defects or damage. In most cases if you try to go direct to the manufacturer, they will redirect you to us.

By purchasing an item form our stores, you are in agreement with our policies and become our direct customer. A Modern Renaissance is an authorized reseller and partner with many different manufacturers and distributors. A Modern Renaissance will provide 100% customer service to our customers.

If an item has a manufacturer defect, then you will be redirected to the manufacturer directly.


SATISFACTION GUARANTEE & RETURNS POLICY

We want you to be satisfied with your purchase. If you have any questions or concerns, please contact us and we will work with you!

For purchases made through our eBay store only:

An RMA Number is needed for any return. Item must be in new, unassembled, and in original box. Shipping fees are not refundable. If an item offers FREE shipping and it is returned, the customer is responsible for the actual orginal shipping costs.

There is an restocking fee: 10% of the merchandise price up to $100.00, 20% of the merchandise price for $100.01 and above.

Any damaged or defective item is under full MFR warranty. If an item is discovered to be originally damaged and/or defective, please report it via email to: support@amodernrenaissance.com.  Instructions will be sent to you to return the defective item and/or replacement parts will be sent direct to you from the manufacturer. Any products being claimed as originally damaged or defects are subject to the manufacturer´s repair and/or replacement policy.

No returns will be accepted without a Returns Merchandise Authorization (RMA) #.

All returns must be in original packaging and include all originally packaged items.

No returns will be accepted after 30 days. After this period, rarely, but should your product not work properly due to original manufacturing, you can contact the manufacturer to service the product under warranty (if applicable).

If the product(s) is damaged during freight, you should not accept it and report the damage to the freight courier for proper returns. Please contact us immediately and we can assist you in this matter.


ORDER PROCESSING & SHIPPING AND HANDLING

We do not profit from shipping and handling charges. We charge actual shipping charges and in oversized large packages we actually charge less that actual cost!

ü           Large boxes cost more to ship. Large boxes ship based on dimensional weight not actual weight. For example, a laundry hamper may only weigh 8 lbs, but it's size and the box size takes up more space. Its billable (actual cost) of shipping is calculated at 40 lbs rate. Dimensional weight considers density, which is the amount of space a package occupies in relation to its actual weight, to determine billable weight. OVERSIZED package:  The cubic size of the package is 5,184 or larger.

Dimensional Weight = (Length  x Width X Height)/194

If the cubic size is less than 5,184, the Shipping company uses the actual weight of the package.

ü            Either US Postal Service, UPS, FedEx, or Conway Freight ( for packages weighing more that 100 lbs) is used for delivery service. We will also provide you a shipment tracking number whenever possible. Truck shipment is used for oversized item and might take additional time for delivery.

ü            INSURANCE: We are not responsible for any lost or damaged items unless insurance is purchased. For all item shipped via UPS or FEDEX, items are automatically insured up to $100.00. For items shipped via United States Post Office, the buyer must request insurance! Insurance is optional but Highly Recommended

ü            STANDARD SHIPPING & HANDLING (S&H) is FREE for SELECTIVE items only and are normally labeled/marked in the item title and/or description. Any free shipping & handling charge is automatically set during the checkout process. (Certain specialty items will incur additional S&H fees after the order is submitted and will be processed only after your confirmation of the S&H fee.)

ü            We currently charge flat rate S&H fees. Any shipping & handling costs can be previewed during the checkout process. The SHIPPING cost shown in the checkout includes SHIPPING & HANDLING (S&H) fees.

ü            General product orders are usually processed within 3-5 business days unless otherwise specified in the product and listing description. (peak and holiday seasons might take up to 1 week to process).

ü            Bassinets and made to order furniture require 10 BUSINESS DAYS order processing time. Delivery window for these items may take up to 4 wks.

ü            STANDARD GROUND DELIVERY time will then take approximately 7-14 business days, unless otherwise stated in the specific item description.

ü            We only ship to the contiguous 48 US states. Shipments to Hawaii, Alaska, or US territories outside the North American continent (Puerto Rico, Guam, etc) are available at our discretion and would incur additional charge. We will email you for a confirmation of the extra shipping cost. We reserve the right to cancel any orders not being shipped to the 48 contiguous US states.

ü            Not all items are available to ship to APO/AFO addresses.

ü            Multiple-item orders may be shipped in separate packages depending on availability from our various warehouse locations.

ü            PLEASE NOTE: Store policy, product prices & specifications, shipping & handling (S&H) fees, and processing/shipment schedules can change at any time and without notice.

HOLIDAY SHIPPING!

ü   For most small items shipped from our store stock in MA, we will ship using USPS Priority Mail, 2-3 business days

ü   Insurance is optional but Highly Recommended during the Holiday Season!

ü   We are not responsible for lost or damaged in shipment items if the buyer has not purchased insurance.

ü   For items shipped direct from the MFR, express shipping is NOT usually available or guaranteed. We cannot guarantee delivery dates. After December 12th, Any items stating ships direct from MFR or supplier are NOT guaranteed for delivery by Christmas. There are always exceptions and we will work with individual requests. We are posting this policy to ensure you and your loved ones are not disappointed with your holiday gifts.


SALES TAX

A 5.0% sales tax is applicable all orders shipped to Massachusetts. There are no sales taxes applied to orders shipped to non-Massachusetts addresses.

All Dexton Kids, LLC items shipped to CA incur a 7.25% CA sales Tax.


BACKORDERS

We require a PAYMENT IN FULL for all items ordered with a known status of placed on backorder. You have the option to CANCEL (by email) your backordered item(s) anytime BEFORE it has been processed for shipping/distribution and your deposit will be fully refunded; otherwise, you will incur the return shipping fee and a restocking fee; the shipping & handling fee is also non-refundable.

If an item becomes BACKORDERED by the manufacturer without our prior notification, you will be given the option to wait for the item to be back in stock, or an immediate refund will be issued.

A Modern Renaissance was established in 1992 as a small family business selling handmade gifts, original artwork and handmade children’s toys. Our main audience was through trade shows and craft fairs.

In 2001, we opened our eBay store, A Modern Renaissance. In addition to quality children’s furniture and toys, our eBay store features solid wood furniture for the home, red cedar Adirondack furniture, and special bargains on unique gifts. We are a trusted eBay POWERSELLER with excellent customer service and positive feedback.

We opened our online store www.amodernrenaissance.com in 2004.  Our store offers only the best in children’s furniture and toys, as well as unique parenting books from the perspective of parents of four children, including triplets plus one!
