The sole is made of leather with anti-slip rubber plug for proper grip and traction. Nice genuine canebreak snake skin, so hard to come by these days. I normally get 11EE snip toe cowboy boots. These are 11D wide square toe but they fit perfectly. Very comfy, no pain, no blisters from first use.
