How to Hang Wallpaper Murals

The "Buddy System"

The first thing to do is to decide where to put your mural.  We like the "Buddy System" (for a second opinion and a possible third hand!)  Have your buddy hold the dry mural up to the wall until you decide just where it should go. Trade places and get a second opinion. Once you decide exactly where you want it draw a little pencil mark on the wall at the bottom and on one side.  Remove the mural and use a level or a plumb and extend the lines. They don't have to be the full size of the mural - just long enough to be seen.  Once your mural is pasted, put it as close to those lines as you can.  The paste should make it slippery on the wall so you can slide it until you just barely cover your level and plumb lines.  Have your buddy keep an eye so that as you smooth out the mural it doesn't slide off of your lines.  If you keep it on these lines you will know when you are done that your mural is level and plumb.  You can always double check with your level and/or plumb before the paste dries.

The most important thing to remember is to FOLLOW THE INSTRUCTIONS that came with your Mural.
