FATHEAD
INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS

FATHEAD
INSTALLATION VIDEO INSTRUCTIONS
Step
One: Find four hands of two patient people.
Step
Two: Measure your wall before you begin to install your Fathead to ensure
adequate space for your Fathead to lay flat and look stunning.
Step
Three: Clean the wall thoroughly and allow it to dry completely before
application of the Fathead. Use a warm damp cloth. Do NOT use any cleaning
chemicals or soap as this can affect the integrity to the adhesive.
Step
Four: Apply your Fathead
Unroll
your Fathead and allow some time for it to flatten out prior to applying it
to the wall. If your Fathead came in two parts, install the bottom half
first.
With
someone on either side of the Fathead, start at the top edge and slowly and
evenly peel down toward the bottom edge until the Fathead is completely
removed from the backing paper. Working together, place one end or corner of
the Fathead on the wall and slowly smooth the rest of the Fathead into place
using minimal pressure. For helmets, be sure to start at the top of the
helmet and work your way down. If needed, gently pull the Fathead from the
wall and reposition it until you get it right.
Next,
working from the center to the outside of the Fathead, smooth out any
bubbles and wrinkles using the provided roller or squeegee. For a two piece
Fathead, carefully line up the top half with the bottom, smooth it out and
then remove any bubbles with the roller or squeegee. If any residue is left
by the squeegee, gently buff the Fathead with a clean dry cloth to remove
it.

RELOCATING YOUR FATHEAD
Identify
where you want your Fathead to go, wipe the wall clean (no soap), wait until
the wall is completely dry. With a friend, carefully remove the Fathead from
one wall to the new location and follow the rest of the instructions above.
If moving your Fathead to a new location that is not within walking distance
put your Fathead back on the original liner it came with and transport it to
your new location.
If for
some reason you did not save the liner and you wish to relocate your
Fathead, purchase a roll of wax paper, carefully peel the Fathead off the
wall and place it on a clean flat surface, STICKY SIDE UP. Cover the entire
area of the Fathead with wax paper and roll it around a tube large enough to
protect the edges of the Fathead and allow it to remain unwrinkled. DO NOT
FOLD your Fathead as this will cause creases to appear.
NOTE
If the
Fathead has some slicing of the backing paper, don’t sweat it, it’s NOT a
product defect. Also, the edges of the sheet your Fathead comes on may
become wrinkled during shipping – this will not affect the quality of the
Fathead. Fatheads are designed for indoor use only. Your Fathead should not
be installed on a newly painted wall surface – most painted surfaces need a
minimum of 30 days to completely cure.
Save the liner your Fathead came on, the roller/squeegee, and the tube that
your Fathead came in. These are essential for relocating your Fathead or, if
for any reason you need to return your Fathead, it MUST be returned with the
liner and tube it came in.
