Columbia College was founded in 1851 and has been helping
students advance their lives through higher education for more than 150
years. Columbia College is a private, not-for-profit, co-educational liberal
arts and sciences college that takes pride in smaller classes, experienced

The college was originally a Christian Female College, making it the first
women's college west of the Mississippi River to be chartered by a state
legislature. The college changed its name to Columbia College in 1970 when
