Now you have a choice! We have been able to obtain software for not only Windows-based systems, but Linux and Mac OSX as well. As an added bonus, we have found some extra software for use with other chat software for those who don't want to use just Skype. See below for details.
MS Windows - Please download the latest official rev 3.0.1.28 - 07.28.2006 - of the official SkypeMate program here.
Linux - Yes, we have a Linux version available now for those who eschew the Microsoft or Mac experience. Why should you be left out from having a good thing just because you're not "mainstream"? Well, download your own version of SkypeMate rev 1.1.0.01 - 09.28.2005 - now and don't just keep up with the Jonses.... pass them in the fast lane.
Mac OSX - Celebrate all of you Mac fans out there! Yealink currently has a version of the SkypeMate software for the P1K, B2K, P4K, P5D, P8D, and W1D for OS X V10.3 that is rev 1.0.0.9 Beta - 05.26.2006. For those of you who have been waiting for this, now is your time to download it here, and show the rest of the world that you can be ahead of the rest of the Mac Pack. We hope that you'll contact us if you have tried it to tell us what you found out. There is also a Mac version of the User's guide, which you can find here.
If you have lost your copy of the installation CD for Windows that came included with your adapter, you can download the entire contents in zip format here. Keep in mind that the installation CD does not always have the latest version on it.
Now, for those of you who are waiting to find out what we've found for the B2K and other applications you can use it with (and not just Skype), here's what you've been waiting for. We will say that we've not tested these ourselves, but we welcome all feedback from you telling us what to expect from what you've tried.
GoogleTalkMate for Windows - v1.0.0.1 Beta - 09.29.2005
VoipBusterMate for Windows - 2.0.1.24 - 04.22.2006
MSNMate for Windows - 1.0.0.2 Beta - 06.26.2006
...and others can be found here.
Do you know that you don’t need to connect a landline to your B2K / B3G to make it work?
No active landline around your computer? No problem. You can make the B2K / B3G work without connecting it to a landline. After installing the SkypeMate software, you can change the default B2K / B3G channel setting to “USB” from “PSTN” through the software (on Windows-based systems.) Then, the B2K / B3G won’t search for the dial-tone every time you pick up the phone that is connected to B2K / B3G. You can make Skype calls on your old telephone through the B2K / B3G without connecting the landline to the B2K / B3G.

Do you know that the B2K / B3G won’t make your landline busy when you are making Skype calls?
First, get your SkypeMate updated to the latest version (you can find it here), then un-check the 'Set PTSN to Busy when on Call' option in the Advanced section. Now your B2K / B3G won’t make the landline busy when you are making Skype calls.
Do you know B2K will now work on a Mac?
Yes, we’ve tested the latest SkypeMate version for Mac OS X (Panther and Tiger – 10.3 & 10.4.) It works fine on the iMac G3 running OS X 10.3 in our testing lab. The only drawback we have found is the 10.0.0.9 version does not provide the full interface that the Windows version has to change the B2K default channel from PTSN to USB. The B2K – by default - initially looks for a dial-tone from the PTSN line before letting the phone do anything. Without the dial-tone, it will not allow switching to a USB Skype call by pushing the * key on the phone keypad. You can still initiate a call using the Skype software on the Mac, and you can answer incoming Skype calls with the phone, though. So, per our initial testing of the beta software, a B2K connected to a MAC requires a regular phone line for full functionality at this time.
