Installation of the Frame Sliders / Engine Protectors for the 2009 Kawasaki ER6n is very simple and straightforward but the left hand
engine slider can be a little tricky so I put the following
instructions together to speed things along:
First thing to do after you've removed the small fairing is remove the horn:
You'll want to remove the bracket that connects the frame to the engine:
Attach the bracket to the slider like this with the Allen bolt
and spacer (But do NOT put the nut on the bolt):
Re-attach bracket plus slider to the frame and engine like this:

Make sure the spacers are installed as shown in the picture above.
Here's where that nut goes:
Finally reattach the horn like this:

You're good to go!
