Ford made two different sequencing systems for the 1966 T-Bird. The first system was put in 1966 T-Birds made before 11/17/1965. The second system was put in 1966 T-Birds made after 11/17/1965. Important See Note below.

All parts we sell are aftermarket replacement parts manufactured by Cougars Unlimited. They are made to plug and play into the original mounting and wiring harness. They are new and come with a 2 year warranty.
Combined Sequential Turn Signal kits (Recommended) (Replaces all individual parts)
Sequencing systems are complicated so to make it easier Cougars Unlimited has combined all the parts found on the rubber pad in the trunk of your car into one unit. T2 or T3. Even though you can purchase the Sequencer or Stop Lamp relay or Directional relay individually it is Highly Recommended that you purchase the Combined Sequential Turn Signal Kit T2 or T3 that combines all the parts into one unit. 50% of all customers who buy one of the individual parts end up buying the others anyway. In the end it is cheaper buying the combined unit.

NOTE: The difference between the Early 1966 T-Bird and the Late 1966 T-Bird is the wiring harness. Ford used the 1965 parts in the 1966 Early Thunderbird production. The connector to the stop lamp relay is completely different. The stop lamp relay is the center part on the rubber pad in your trunk. See arrows in the original configuration pictures above and to the left. Before you purchase you must remove your old unit and compare it to these pictures. The date code on your car and the date code charts are not accurate and are often incorrect. You cannot go by the date code. I am tired of exchanging these units when the wrong part is purchased. Clearly on your old unit you can see the stop lamp relay on the rubber pad and if it has a three prong or a four-prong connector. Also on the Early configuration the stop lamp relay has a short 8in removable harness. This 8in harness can be unplugged directly from the relay or the main harness to the car. In the Late version this 8 in harness is soldered directly to the relay. Clearly you can see the difference in the pictures above. Again disconnect and take out the rubber pad with the parts on it out of your trunk. If it is wrapped in tape or a covering then take the covering off so you can clearly see the parts and connectors. There is no other reliable way to do it.
