Antique Jewelry is my passion and there is much to be said of its timeless quality. It exists as if in an ethereal realm exempt from the laws of couture. It is not owned by the present, but borrowed from the distant past. It is not dictated, it does not wane, it simply is. We read History in its composition. Themes of Egyptian rulers, celestial events, Suffragettes, and executed nobility tell the tales. Hair of loved ones gone forever evoked continual remembrance when woven into fine chains or prominently displayed behind locket glass. The love of a Queen for her fallen Prince so consuming and enduring, it caused decades of jewelry to mirror her pain. The Makers and Wearers are ghosts now and the jewelry itself reflects the wear of emotion and the ages, but it presents to us a natural truth: Youth ever flies towards the salmon sun while Beauty soars in tandem, though transformed. Tally Ho, Good Hunting, and please let me know if I may assist you in Finding the Fabulous!
