ABOUT VINTAGE:
vintage clothing is not only an obsession for many but also an eco-friendly way to shop and help cut down on sweatshops. vintage means that these clothes have had many, many previous lives and have been worn, loved and cared for by several different owners. the thing that we love about vintage clothing is the history behind the garment. your parents, grand parents and even great grand parents may have worn these clothes, but it doesn't mean that you shouldn't.
here at BLEUBIRD VINTAGE we hunt and gather each and every piece that goes into our shop. we take pride in finding quality garments that are in excellent condition. most vintage garments show minor wear, some may show a lot of wear due to being decades old. we rarely sell damaged pieces but if there are major flaws that effect their wearablility that we are unable to mend in house, we will note them under the details section on our product pages. our garments are thourally inspected before ever leaving our racks and we do our very best to describe in detail the condition of the garment so our buyers know what they are buying.
we do our best when determining the correct era of our vintage pieces, such as 60's mod or 80's glam, in the event that we sell a designer piece that is not "vintage" but has been worn before, we will note that under the details section.
if a garment or accessory is marked "deadstock" that means that it is a true vintage piece that has never been worn. these are rare pieces were never sold and usually come directly from the manufactures archives. they often come with their original tags but can also show signs of wear due to their age.
a lot of vintage garments may carry a faint odor due to age. we recommend washing or dry cleaning your garments before wearing.
