THIS BOX ABOVE, was shipped, UNINSURED, by a buyer, who was returning a pair of readers, that she did not like. It took over 2 months to finally arrive to me. We both thought the parcel was a goner, lost in POSTAL LAND. The box was shipped via good'ole FIRST CLASS MAIL.
My husband and I stared at this box, and we looked at eachother, almost afraid to open it, to see what,( if anything) survived. We opened it carefully, and found that the vinyl snap case was crushed, and broken, yet, remarkably, the 'RAPTURE' readers were unharmed.
RETURNS ARE HAPPILY ACCEPTED WITHIN 7 DAYS OF RECEIPT (no exceptions). My return policy is stated in 2 places on each listing. At the bottom of the listing, and as a link, above each item description. You must email me ASAP, when you've realized they are not for you, and tell me you are returning them. In my return policy, I ask that you insure your return, and use the crush resistant box, I shipped the glasses to you originally. Using PADDED envelopes are unacceptable. 97% of first class mail parcels arrive to their destination, uninsured, without a hitch. But if you insist on not insuring, because, after all, you are paying for return postage, and postage is non refundable, at least add DELIVERY CONFIRMATION to your parcel. But if your uninsured glasses arrive crushed, or anything less than perfect, I will not honor your refund. I use these crush resistant boxes, for a reason. They withstand 200 pounds of pressure. So can you just IMAGINE how that poor parcel above, was treated by the postal system? Inconceivable, but a fact. Upon your package's safe return to me, I will then, initiate a MUTUAL AGREEMENT with EBAY, for the buyer and seller, to VOID the transaction. It starts out looking like an obnoxious NON PAYING BIDDER email, but before you judge the subject header, read the ENTIRE EMAIL, and you will see, that it is meerly a pleasant way to void a sale, for reasons that item was returned, or purchased in error. When you comply with this email, it exhonorates the both of us from completing the sale, you will remain in excellent standing with Ebay, and I will get my 12% final sale fee refunded to me, that EBAY took as their commission of the sale. When I get the email from EBAY, that you have complied, I will issue you a PURCHASE price refund, in the original payment form issued. Shipping fees are not refundable.
PLEASE NOTE: I have 45 days, to file one of these MUTUAL AGREEMENTS with EBAy. If you send me a return, after 45 days has passed from the time you bought the item, I cannot get my fees refunded to me. As a result of your lack of timeliness, your refund will be the purchase price, MINUS 12%.
MUTUAL AGREEMENTS are the friendly way of ending a sale, for a few reasons: You purchased the wrong strength, color, changed your mind, or you realized that they are BIFOCALS, and you wanted FULL LENS readers. Whatever the reason, it doesn't matter. It also, enables you to buy from my site, and return the item within 7 days of receipt, if you can't stand the way you look. (NOT within 30 days, or 2 months ) I understand the difficulty of buying eyewear that you can't try on. So, this makes it easy for both of us. To decrease the chances of returns, PLEASE read my descriptions THOROUGHLY, and pay attention to the frame measurements. ONE of the most important steps in choosing the right readers, aside from knowing your strength, is the SIZE of your frame width. Measure a pair of your own glasses, and then, you can narrow down your choices to the right frame width, and then, choose the style you think you will like.
INCLUDE THE ORIGINAL ITEM # IN YOUR RETURN. You must EMAIL ME PRIOR to shipping anything back to me. In the return, you MUST include the original ITEM # NUMBER. Otherwise it is VERY difficult to find your sale to issue you a refund, or exchange. I sell over 100 items a week, and I cannot possibly remember who is who, and who purchased what. Without this item number, I cannot begin the refund process, and your returned parcel will sit in the corner of my shipping room, and it will be very, VERY lonely, until I hear from you. I will not waste hours out of my day, looking for your order. If you are EXCHANGING a pair of readers, this process is done, NOT INVOLVING ANOTHER EBAY SALE. Email me, and tell me what you are exchanging, and what you would like instead equal in value, and then you are expected to ship the unwanted readers back, within 7 days of receiving them, (not 3 weeks later, not 2 months later) with enough CASH to cover the postage, for me to ship back the ones you want. There is a brief return policy listed in all my listings.
PLEASE NOTE: CLEARANCE READERS ARE FINAL SALE. THERE IS NO RETURN ON REDUCED READERS. SO, PLEASE READ DESCRIPTION CAREFULLY, AND MAKE SURE THEY ARE WHAT YOU WANT.
MARGARITA*MAMMA's RETURN POLICY FOR ALL OTHER STUFF
ITEMS ARE GENERALLY NOT RETURNABLE if they are not as you expected, not the right size, or not the right color. I include approximate measurements for almost everything I sell. DO YOUR HOMEWORK, and NEVER ASSUME something will fit, without measuring first. If it's about color? Monitors display differently from one household to the next, and when I color proof, the photos uploaded onto the Ebay website, are close to accurate. If color is crucial to your purchase, please email me. I describe to the best of my knowledge, and what I think is important to make the sale a successful one for both parties. If I have missed something that you need to know, PLEASE email me prior to placing your purchase. Again, never ASSUME, something is the way you expect it to be. My observations, and opinions on the same item, may or may not differ from what you would expect. Need more pictures? EMAIl me with your email address, and I will get them right out to you.
I GUARANTEE MY DESCRIPTIONS to be as close to accurate as possible. If I leave out a significant fault, I will pay all shipping fees, upon the item's safe return to me. In regards to vintage clothing, a small spot, snag, hole, wrinkle, or pull, does not constitute misrepresentation. I mainly sell vintage, previously owned items, that may not be perfect, ( unless I am sure that they are), and have had a life before EBAY, whether it was in someone's closet, or on someone else's body, or in someone else's SMOKING household. Do not buy vintage, if you are not flexible with it's stated condition. I do look over each item, as carefully as possible. My home is a non smoking home. All items I purchase from estate sales, having an odor, are deodorized, or drycleaned. If there is an odor, I will say so. If I GROSSLY MISREPRESENTED an item, by totally missing something HUGE, I will make right by it. Though it is hardly my intention, we all make mistakes. I make every attempt to resolve all issues.
DATING MY VINTAGE, and antiques, is an approximate, educated guess, from 15 years of reading informative collector's books, articles, on hand experience in my mother's Antique Shop, in COLD SPRING HARBOR, LONG ISLAND, and acquired knowledge from other dealers. My 'CIRCA' dates are not to be held over my head, if I am off, by a decade or two, especially on items dated prior to 1950. I am always open to correcting my listings, if I have wrongly identified something. Look at the photos, do your own research, ask me as many questions as you like, and purchase, because you like something, and not primarily because of it's age. If you surround yourself with things that bring you joy, well, it's that what shopping, is all about?
PLEASE READ MY HOMEPAGE.
