Condition Guide

To ensure your satisfaction we classify all products using the following condition scale:

• New  - Brand new items in perfect condition.  Items have original packaging and are free of remainder marks.
• Used - Like New - May have a remainder mark.  Minor shelf wear is allowed, but no tears or creases or indentations unless they are small enough to be classified as shelf wear.  Spine is firm and straight.
• Used - Very Good - May have a remainder mark.  Item is slightly worn.  It may have an owner's signature, some sun induced fading, light soiling, or a clipped price.  The item may also have chips, tears, scrapes, rubbing, creases, indentations, or price stickers on the book/cover.  Book spines may be sprung or slightly cocked (rolled).
• Used - Good - May have a remainder mark.  Item is hurt but will have all pages, the dust jacket may be missing.  It may have a cocked spine, a slightly loose binding, or light moisture damage.  May have price stickers on book/cover. May have significant tears and creases or may be bound upside down.  Item may be an ex-library book.
• Acceptable - May have a remainder mark.  Item may have a cracked but intact spine.  Title or end pages may be missing as long as the content is all present.  May have medium moisture damage.  May have price stickers on the book/cover. May have highlighting/writing in or on the item.
• What is a Remainder Mark? - A small mark inside the book cover or on the page ends.  The publisher uses a marker or stamp to apply the marking.  Publishers use remainder marks to identify product that has been returned by retailers.

Return Policy

BargainBookStores.com accepts returns within 30 days of order receipt.

Return Process

• Returns without prior authorization will not be refunded. 
  

Return Requirements

• Returned merchandise must be in the same condition in which it was received. 
• Please adequately package return shipments.  No credit will be given if item is damaged in return shipment.

Restocking Fee

Please note that we will charge a 15% item restocking fee if an item is returned to us for any of the following reasons: 

• Items purchased in error by customer.
• Items for which delivery is refused by customer.
• Items which were undeliverable due to an incorrect address.

Lost or Damaged Shipments

• We take pride in selling high quality products, however, we cannot control damage or loss that may occur during shipping. 
• If your order was damaged during shipping or if you did not receive your order, contact us and we will be happy to take care of the issue.
