Miracle Stain Remover Recipes |

If you sell clothing on Ebay, or wear clothing for that matter, it's helpful to know the best way to remove certain stains. Here you will find a handy dandy stain removal guide and a miracle stain remover recipe.
2 Miracle Stain Removal Recipes:
1 Cup Cascade Dishwashing Powder Detergent
1 Cup Clorox 2 (or any color safe bleach)
HOT, HOT, HOT water (enough to cover clothing)
1/2 cup Oxy Powder
1/2 cup color safe bleach
HOT HOT HOT water
Let Soak
- Mix above ingredients well before adding clothing.
- Soak clothes a minimum of 6 hours. Can leave overnight.
- Wash as normal and presto!
Please spot test to make sure color doesn't fade or bleed. Although Clorox 2 is supposed to be safe on colors, it isn't always. If you have a dark colored item, I would substitute OxyClean for the Clorox 2.
In my opinion the recipe using Cascade powder tends to work better on those greasy or oily type stains.
Please note: I've noticed that soaking an item too long in the Oxy recipe can leave certain pieces "discolored". Keep an eye on them!
Hint: Add either salt or white vinegar to keep the colors from bleeding.
Rust Remover: Douse the spot with lemon juice, either fresh or bottled (don't be afraid to use a lot), allow this to dry overnight. If there is even a hint of rust left do it again, it should disappear entirely.
Stainz-r-Out: Stain remover. Stainz-R-Out is biodegradable and non-toxic. This organically based product smells like bananas because it is composed primarily of banana extract, and can be used in diluted or concentrated form. Cleans up oil, grease, blood, ink, lipstick, grass stains, mud, nail polish, shoe polish, paint, wine and more! Safe to use on rugs, upholstery or anywhere you find stains.It's called Stainz-r-out. Even removes acrylic paint off clothing!!!
