Ever since I was a kid, I have always been interested in old stuff. It must be in my blood, because as I get older, I like old stuff even more.
My interest in old stuff started with coins when I was eight years old in 1965. Now I have 50 years of experience, mostly with United States and Canadian issues. Some people say that I am an expert on the subject, but I am not a professional numismatist.
In 1996, I decided to get into stamps. Since then, I have learned a lot about stamps, but far from everything.
One day in 1973, I was walking in the woods with my father, and found an older Coca-Cola bottle. You guessed it! The bottle bug hit, and I started to search for more of them. A few years later, I found out about the popularity of beer cans.
Dumping for old bottles and cans is a lot like fishing, because you never know what you will catch other than Poison Ivy. I still go dumping for them, usually with my old dependable 1966 Chevrolet Pick-up.
