Sizing Information
"One Size Fits Most" based on a Size: Medium 22 1/4 inch head measurement.
All items are Ladies/Adult. One Size Fits Most (OSFM) = most, not all. Sometimes I'll make a SMALL or a LARGE but these will be clearly marked.
Cloth hats are made with 100% cotton fabric that I pre-wash in hot water and lots of fabric softener to pre-shrink and soften before cutting. This way the fabric has done most of its' shrinking before the cap is assembled - though they will still shrink a tiny bit when washed in warm water. For best results wash in cold water on the gentle cycle. Hang to dry.
BASEBALL CAPS: Inner circumferance 22 3/4+" on average. With six seams forming the dome a tiny variance in seam allowance +/- from one batch to another means some will run a little small, some will run a little large. The adjustable velcro/elastic back lets you adjust the circumferance giving you a plus/minus of one inch, while the elastic comfortably hugs your head at any setting.
The bill is 3 1/8 inches long on the newest caps.....to almost 3 1/4 inches long on earlier caps. Calico Caps baseball caps have the half-moon opening (in the back above the velcro-elastic closure) for your ponytail.
THE FLOPPY HATS are sized a bit larger to be very comfortable (and not smash your hairdo) with an inner circumferance of 23 1/8" fitting a range of 22" - 23 1/2" very nicely. The sizing on the floppy hats has become very consistant at 23 1/8" but my earlier floppy hats were a tiny bit smaller.
They are cut on the bias to give them a bit of flexibility, but not an elastic "stretch".
The double-faced satin bow is shiney on both sides and can be cut/trimmed without fraying. It isn't permanately attached so it can be retied or removed.
The brim measures 3.75" narrowing to 3.25" in back. The bucket, or top part of the hat, is 3.75" deep.
I can send fabric swatches if you're trying to match a particular outfit.

Measuring Your Head
Where are you on the "One Size Fits Most" spectrum? If you think you might be at one extreme or the other just let me know and I'll select the largest or smallest in the batch.
Don't have a measuring tape to wrap around your head? Use a piece of string and measure the string with a ruler.
Using a tape measurer or a string and ruler, measure from the back of your head (for baseball caps: just below where your ponytail would go) bringing the ends together at the center of your forehead (halfway between your hairline and your eyebrows.) Use the chart to determine your size, rounding up to the nearest 1/8".
