You may have found in our eBay store items with a listings title starting with: *SAMPLE CD ...
What are those SAMPLE CDs?
They're CD samples from a factory that were used for CD manufacturing and have large stickers directly on the artwork.
The stickers contain various production data which usually includes hand-writing. While such CDs would probably
not be suitable for gift-giving, many of our buyers looking for music for their personal use are excited to find many gems
among these sample CDs. Often there are rare or otherwise expensive titles priced in our store for much less.
A vast majority of our sample CDs have a large sticker on the back side of the front insert.
Here's an example of such a sticker:

Occasionally there may be other stickers or marking on other parts of the artwork,
such as a top-spine label on the tray card (back insert), such as one shown here:

Sometimes there may be multiple labels and stickers on different parts of the artwork.
This digipak has three different stickers, one on the front, one on the back and one on the booklet inside:

Note that we list these sample CDs on eBay in the "ACCEPTABLE" condition category because of the stickers on the artwork,
but the discs are usually in MINT, LIKE NEW condition.
Please see each listings for CD description, it will state if the disc is Like New, Very Good, etc.
Some sample CDs have a punch-hole through the bar code and/or a promo mark. That will be also stated in such listing.
These are original CDs from the manufacturer. They are the same as regular retail store CDs,
the only difference being the sample factory labels. If you have any questions,
please send us an e-mail to chicagooverstock@wowway.com or call us at 630-915-0697.
