I got started in rhinestone decoration last summer after a friend of mine pointed me to a rhinestone thread at an online forum. I had been a member of the forum for over a year, shortly after launching a t-shirt printing business with Direct-to-Garment inkjet printing. Once I got into garment decorating by hand-setting hot-fix rhinestones ... I was hooked. I have always been obsessed with crafts, making jewelry, embroidery and such.
My husband thought it was kinda goofy, and frankly too feminine for his tastes. But, after several discussions with other designers, he began to see a trend ... even with the guys ... for wearing t-shirts with various bling: foil, glitter, and rhinestones could enhance even the grungiest design. Rhinestones were making a real comeback in the fashionable t-shirt industry.
Six months and dozens of designs later, we decided to import quality rhinestone supplies and make them available to US customers. And, we wanted to add value to the rhinestones, motifs and t-shirts we sell by showing how the process works, tip and tricks, and pass on all the shiny information we are learning about rhinestone decoration.
