Fall 2009 Update
Thank you to all my springtime and summer buyers who stuck with me through my trying months of chemotherapy.
As we turn now from the long, hot days of summer toward the crisp mornings of fall, it's time once again for me to re-evaluate my eBay sales strategies. With eBay's current "Best Match" search my items are not being viewed, nor purchased, at the rate they were a year ago. I've dropped from 17,000 hits per month down to about 500 hits per month currently. This is in spite of the fact that I am a power seller, have high DSRs, and great feedback. To keep my little business from going bankrupt, I will be moving many of my handcrafted items to another site, which of course, I cannot mention here.
I will continue to offer other items for sale here on eBay for as long as I can at least make enough money to pay the eBay fees. Although I need to make a profit, I understand that the economy is not good right now and I simply want to hold on until it turns around.
PAYMATE NO LONGER A PAYMENT OPTION
After much effort to establish Paymate as a payment option I have found that my customers have not used it. Due to disuse, I have removed Paymate as an option in order to save myself a hefty fee for the option not being used. Sorry if you had hopes of using Paymate. Some listings may still mention Paymate as an option, but I'm working on a bulk edit to remove the option.
ONGOING CHANGES
For the most part, I've eliminated handling charges from US shipping charges. I may have missed a handling charge here or there, but am continually scouring my listings to make sure there are no handling charges. I'm also working to remove handling charges from international shipping charges. All of this takes time, but my goal is to keep shipping costs as low as possible for my customers and eventually have free shipping on all items for US purchases.
My Item Numbers
Many of you have noted that I have a number in the title of my listings. As I sell so many different items from many different sources I had to devise a numerical system to track items in inventory to readily be found when purchased. This is the number in my title. The difficulty has come in when I began selling sewing patterns or other items that have numbers on packaging that is visible in my photos--numbers that do not match what is in the title. My apologies for any confusion this may cause shoppers. The majority of my items do not have original packaging, thus the need for me to devise a system that works for me.

You may notice that I have some overlap in Store Categories. I am continually working on an update of Store Categories and until I have all the items moved from the old categories to their new category, there will be some overlapping. Sorry for any inconvience this may cause. This will most likely be an ongoing process as I am able to acquire different categories of items for sale.
