The evidence clearly shows that you and I are healther if pets are part of our family. Just having a pet is not enough. It is important to place our hands on that pet daily, petting and enjoying their company, which will result in an improvement of our health. In return we need to be responsible for our pets, providing more than just a water dish and food. It is up to us to see to both their physical and mental health. We are their caretakers and should be held accountable.
