A Word About Feedback
The feedback system E-bay has in place is a reliable way to check any e-bayers transaction history. I always leave feedback for my buyers after they indicate their position by leaving feedback in my file. The only buyers that get feedback from me first are the ones that go for a month without paying and then I will leave negative feedback. This usually gets me a negative feedback in return which is a shame because someone that does not complete their half of the transaction should not be entitled to leave feedback. A lot of sellers will not leave negative feedback for fear of getting it in return and ruining their 100% positive feedback rating. I feel it necessary to warn other sellers of a deal gone sour and will continue to agrressively pursue non-paying bidders for my lost e-bay fees and just the pain in the a_ _ of having to chase down my money. I will share a couple of classic feedback examples. Most recently ericd189 left me this negative comment:
'Would not give me infotmation to send him a money order! scammer! worst EVER!!!!'
Now other than the revealing mis spellings this guys ignorance is further accentuated by his statement. All the address and payment information is a click or two away on your computer as most of us regular e-bayers realize. I shared this info with Eric and sent him my address via e-mail and he told me the check was coming. After more than a month of asking for the payment for a $5.99 disc I filed a non paying bid alert to recover my lost e-bay fees and left him his second negative out of 15 transactions all since April '05....another revalation...
Another guy (xtcnxs) waited until I left him positive feedback for a bottom stamp ROC he won for $4.85 on a $1.99 auction. He then phoned me and told me the ROC had a hole in it and I needed to replace it. I inspect each disc before shipment and I am fairly positive it was in fine shape. He told me the hole had to be there when I packaged it because the packaging it came in did not have a hole. I agreed to replace it as soon as he returned it and I would cover the shipping cost both ways. He stated that him shipping a disc with a hole in it did not make sense and I better ship him another new disc or he will leave negative feedback. That's like buying something at the hardware store and wanting a refund without producing the item for return.....it does not work. Out of 12 transactions he has 4 negatives and mine should be a negative but he slicked me. This is the incident that made me change from leaving feedback 'for each item that gets paid for' to leaving it 'after it is left for me' (unless I am the purchaser, then I leave it when the item arrives)...
Then there is the guy (leem8827) that just doesn't understand the system. The day after he paid for a disc he leaves me (and several other sellers) neutral feedback.
"i'll let you know more when i get the stuff so far so good"
Feedback is to be left at the end of a completed transaction. E-mail is for notes like that....
I am an honest e-bayer as is evidenced by my positive feedbacks. I am not afraid to leave feedback that is appropriate to the circumstance. I work out any reasonable problems but I am not responsible for irresponsible buyers. Anyone leaving anything less than positive feedback will be blocked from any future transactions with Channel Z's Disc Golf Fly Mart.
