Treatment for New
Teapots:
New teapots are
always of strange perfume from being burned in
stove. If used directly, the perfume of tea will
be affected. Therefore, the first step is
cleaning. Special cleaning cloths will be
better. Do keep greasiness away as purple sand
teapot is of absorbability. Put some tea ( about
1/6 of the teapot) which you have often into
your teapot and full it withCOOLwater
not hot one. Place the teapot in a boiler, and
also pour some water in the latter covering the
former all. Boil them until water boiling
(almost for 30 minutes) with slow fire. Then
wait for a while and get the teapot out. Leave
it cool and dry itself. Thus, you can use it for
your tea.
Notes:COOLwater
should not be used for cleaning any more to
avoid air hole changing physically during
expanding in hot and contracting in cold.
Ø
Maintain for Purple
Sand Teapots:
Once the teapot is
used, there is no need to wash it. If necessary,
you can shower it with
HOT
water. And if the outer surface of the teapot is
tainted, clean it with tea cloths gently. Do not
scrub several times. The remainder doesn’t need
to be poured out at once for the absorbability
of purple sand. Thus the teapot will shine
smoothly after periods of time. However, the
remainder is not remains till another day. Last
but not least, the teapot needs time to relax.
It may be dry and wiped gently with special
clean tea cloths and kept in air for some time.
You’d better prepare certain teapot for certain
tea. No mix use.
Notes:
Do not pack it close otherwise it will have
spots on it. Do keep it away off greasiness,
smoke and ashes. Do not use chemical cleaner.
