Since opening my account on eBay 7 June 02 through 27 Dec 09, I've received 173 feedback items, 169 of them positive. This is a positive feedback rating of 97.69% over more than 7.5 years.
Computer Mercenaries offers computer consulting services. Oftentimes we're called in to recommend upgrades to networking methods or computer hardware, and sometimes our clients request that we remove outdated hardware to save them disposal fees. Some of the computer hardware, software, and computer-related books are like new. I offer them here, along with items engravable using my significant other's computer-controlled engraver.
Payment
Your payment is expected within 72 hours of auction close. Failure to pay within 72 hours will result in negative feedback and we will process a non-paying bidder complaint against you with eBay. We accept the following payment options:
Domestic USA:
• Paypal (preferred). Make sure you use a confirmed shipping address.
• Personal or company checks (subject to bank clearance). Items will ship only after we have confirmed clearance of your check with our bank.
Shipping
Shipping costs are for the USA and Canada only. We do not ship to other locations due to the excessive paperwork (and sometimes taxes) imposed by other countries. These costs are calculated by eBay, not by Computer Mercenaries. We ship via UPS or USPS. Third day, second day air, overnight and other types of rush shipping is available at buyer's request, at buyer's extra cost.
Please do not bid if you do not agree to these terms.
Warranty
No returns whatsoever. All items are sold on an "as is" basis, without warranty of any kind, and without a guarantee that the item you buy is appropriate for the use you have in mind.
No other warranty is implied. You should report immediately any defects in the appearance of the shipping container to the shipper. Computer Mercenaries cannot be held responsible for damage in shipping. Damage in shipping is covered by shipping insurance. Cost of insurance is borne by purchaser.
Returns
No returns whatsoever are allowed. We try our best to describe items clearly by posting clear photographs and by using information provided by manufacturers or other online resources. Buyers should read item description carefully and send email to ask us to clarify any questions before bidding. Items sent back to us become our property, and we will not refund purchase price.
After Auction
Buyers will usually receive PayPal payment notifications within minutes of auction close. To make payment right away, please use the "Pay Now with PayPal" button in the auction. Winning bidders must respond and make payment within three (3) days of auction close. If you do not receive a notification, it is your responsibility to contact us. Failure to do so will lead to canceling of your bid, negative feedback, and other collection efforts.
Feedback
We post feedback for all buyers who have paid for their items in accordance with our payment policy. If you are satisfied with your transaction, please leave your positive feedback, including a detailed seller rating of 5. If you are not happy with us, please contact us prior to leaving feedback. Thanks.
A little about me...
I'm a Vietnam-era veteran of the United States Air Force, and a 22 year veteran of enterprise network engineering and software configuration management. eBay is where I sell the computer hardware, software, and books that I've had to buy to stay abreast of current technology. I recover some of these costs through sales of my personal computer-related items, and items that some of my corporate clients permit me to take with me if they're surplus to their needs. These computer computer hardware and software items are often perfect for those home or small business users on a budget.
I enjoy competing in endurance rallies on my BMW touring motorcycle, listening to live music, cooking (including making good espresso and chili), and playing with computers. I learned how to ride motorcycles in 1975 and have owned six since then... a new 1976 Kawasaki KH250 street bike, a new 1978 Harley-Davidson 75th Anniversary Sportster, a used 1976 BMW R75/6, a new 2000 BMW K1200LT-C in Pacific Blue, a used 2000 BMW K1200LT-C in Canyon Red, and my current bike, a 2005 BMW K1200LT-C in gold I bought as a demonstrator model with 1600 miles on the odometer in 2005. This was totalled in March 2009 by an uninsured 19 year old, but the engine still runs well, and I expect to get the bike repaired in the not-too-distant future. I've participated in the Ride For Kids for a number of years, helped organize "America's 911 Ride" in 2001 and 2002, and completed my Iron Butt Association "Saddlesore 1000" ride in the Spring of 2006, though I've yet to send in my documentation. I've twice participated in the Mason Dixon 20-20 endurance rally (which benefits the Johns Hopkins Children' Center) and twice finished the Cape Fear 1000 endurance rally. I took an extended motorcycling vacation from 29 September to 21 October, touring 37 states in three weeks to complete my 2008 tour of all 48 contiguous states, and cap off my 26,000 mile year.
I've ridden over 125,000 miles on BMW motorcycles since buying my first in 1988. I'm a member of our local BMW motorcycle club, the BMW Bikers of Metropolitan Washington, the BMW Riders Association, the American Motorcyclist Association, and I've been a member of the BMW Motorcycle Owners of America since 1988. |
