Marie Saunders and I, Kathy Runyan joined efforts in August 2004 where the Quilt Shoppe opened its doors inside the existing Country Expressions Gift Shop. The combination of home decor, gifts, candles, furniture and all the beautiful fabrics, notions and patterns turned out to be the perfect match.

Within 6 months the combined businesses were flourishing, the inventory was growing at warp speed and the shoppe was running out of space. Having 23 ladies all at once for our monthly Thimbleberries club meeting was quite a challenge. Thanks to Frank and Micky LaVres we were able to purchase our current location, giving us over 4000 square feet of floor space as well as a wonderful new classroom.

Country Expressions~the Quilt Shoppe officially opened its new doors June 4th 2005. We would like to thank our husbands Steve and Larry for removing lights, installing lights, removing sinks, installing sinks, hauling box after box, moving all the fabric (uncovered on a flatbed hay hauler) and for the beautiful new solid walnut cash register counter.

 In 2008 we are honored to be selected as a TOP 10 Quilt Shop by Quilt Sampler Magazine (a Better Homes and Gardens Publication). Our shop will be featured in the September 2008 Issue. And of course, last but certainly not least we want to thank all the "quilting ladies" who have given their support, time, talent and friendship. Without you we would not be where we are today.
