Application Tips
When applying makeup, it should always go on a freshly washed AND moisturized face.
Follow these three simple steps when applying any of our mineral makeup for beautiful, flawless skin:
1. MIX your brush of choice in to the mineral makeup until desired amount is absorbed. Remember, a little bit goes a long way.
2. TAP the brush handle on the edge of container to loosen excess minerals.
3. BUFF on thin layers of makeup until you achieve desired coverage. Remember, it is always easier to add more color than it is to remove.
Follow these steps when applying your minerals...
Step 1: Start by applying setting powder/shine reducer around jaw line and use upward brush strokes until you reach hairline. This will help set your makeup for long-lasting coverage and control shine.
Step 2: Using brush, lightly stroke desired amount of concealer to problem area skin.
Step 3: Using our total face brush, mix, tap, and then begin to buff desired amount of mineral matte foundation over entire face.
Step 4: Next, add blush first then bronzer (if desired) to the apples of your cheeks. You don't want to use too much, just enough to put the color back in your cheeks. This should be applied to the upper cheekbones and blended out toward the hairline.
Step 5: Next, you can apply eye shadow. *Light colors for the base look best on most people. You can use a darker color in the outer corners to add depth and highlight your eyes and a middle shade over entire lid, blending well. After the eye shadow application is complete, carefully brush away any excess make up that may have fallen under your eyes. Next, is eyeliner: if a more defined line is desired, slightly dampen your eyeliner brush with water and apply a small amount of powder to brush. If you want a smoked look, use a dry eyeliner brush and apply thin line along top eye. It is appealing on most individuals to line the top eye with a thin line along the length of the eyelashes and not to line along bottom lashes; this can cause eyes to look tired.
*refer to eye color recommendations for more detail when applying eye shadows
Step 6: Apply brow powder if desired with our defining eyebrow brush using “hair stroke” lines. (again if more defined look desired, slightly dampen brush with water)
Step 7: Apply finishing mineral veil powder over entire face. This will help set your look for all day coverage.
Other Beauty Secrets....
-Achieve an ultra smooth, poreless finish when applying mineral foundation or concealer by using upward brush strokes.
-Using a bronzer as an eye shadow brings out the best in all eye colors. For the prettiest effect, apply a sheer layer to lids, then line eyes with the same shade.
-Bronzer can also be used while wearing a low cut top; enhance your cleavage by dusting bronzer on the middle part of your chest area that is exposed.
-When applying blush or bronzer, smile and apply to the apples of your cheeks.
-Use our white eyeliner powder which goes on smoothly and blends easily, creating an appearance of bold and beautiful eyes that sparkle. It also creates an illusion of looking more perky and awake when you’re really sleepy or tired!!
-Pencil thin eyebrows are no longer in. To achieve the hot new look of full eyebrows, simply use our defining eye brush along with your color brow powder and draw “hair stroke” lines to create natural and full looking eyebrows.
-For more defined eyeliner or eyebrow color, slightly dampen brush with water and then apply as you normally would.
-Add some moisturizer to your foundation powder, mix together and you’ll have a liquid foundation just like that!
