| About Our Augers
My dad was a revolutionary in the street-sweeping
business and has a keen way of "working outside the box". The results
are extraordinary accomplishments: a booming broom business that began
in a chicken coop, a dozen patents to his name and achieving celebrity
status in an industry most people never even think about.
Now his retirement, and I use that term loosely,
is still spent in working in his shop in Marysville. He does machine work for the farmers, sometimes the Marysville Street Dept. comes calling with machine work, and he piddles on projects like the Old-Timer
Accurate Rain Gauge and Weathervane, the E-Z Hearing Aid Battery Installer
and most importantly, he helps Tom and I with augers while giving sage counsel.
In January of 2004, after two years of designing and machining,
we were ready to get a patent on a tool nobody had ever seen before, the Horizontal Boring Auger system.
We began selling them as soon as we filed
for our patent, and our customers were amazed by the auger's performance.
"I don't know how I ever did without it," was the general consensus.
Soon we were selling them from Virginia to California. To plumbers, electricians, irrigation firms, guttering contractors, cable installers
and even carport installers who used them to bore vertically for anchor placement. Each set is hand machined straight
from our shop in Knoxville, TN. We welcome any questions or comments you may have about our augers. Contact us anytime!
