DVD Depot and More

I have orders already posted and ready to go for the post office to pick up...problem is we got in a foot of snow last night, and it's been falling steadily since 7am so far here on Monday.  They have announced due to the bad weather all state offices are closed, all schools, and are recommending flat out no one go anywhere...we don't get this kind of snow normally here!  My jeep is buried!  Anyway...no roads are plowed and I am not sure if I will see a postal worker today or not...will see.  If it does not get picked up today...we are supposed to be clear tomorrow and will go out then.

We are shipping close to daily at the moment so that items can get out and arrive, hopefully, in time for Christmas giving.  Please read below about how we treat mailing of single dvds, in regards to first class mail.  If your not sure if your item will get there in time, chose priority mail!

If it warrants we also ship on Saturdays as well.

We have an E-Bay ProStore as many of you know.  E-Bay no longer allows E-Bay sellers to take payments by mail.  Our buy it now items are the same here as they are on the website.  We have finally set up a credit card processer on the website that will take credit cards, including those Visa Gift cards you can purchase at retail stores such as Walmart, which is an answer to those without a Paypal account.  You cannot pay there for auction items.  The items have to be purchased from the Prostore and paid for there. The website address is www.dvddepotandmore.com.

Okay...E-Bay made some changes to the view page...and I am getting hit with quite a few questions in regards to shipping and such.

First....in regards to languages...if you just scroll down past the Muze info that E-Bay puts up, you will see our description.  In that description we list all the languages and subtitles that a particular movie has.  Also....some ads have that full box Muze info....some they are changing over to a shorter box and if you want to know what the movie is about click the highlighted type that says see reviews or something like that, it will then give you a full screen of what its about.

Also...if you are logged in....your base shipping costs should come up under the price of the movie.  There is also a shipping tab that E-Bay has now done that gives your shipping info.  When you pull up an ad, you are automatically on the description tab.  Just above the Muze info you will see a shipping tab...click that.  That gives you the base shipping price for your country and the choices you get.  Now....in regards to combining...we always do...see OUR description (the paragraph above tells you where) and it gives you the rates....US and Canada are added at 1.00 each for regular dvds (not sets)...all other countries are added at 3.00 each (not sets).

I know it's confusing...I had problems with it went I went shopping on E-Bay at the first!  E-Bay just wants you to click more and scroll more on an ad!  If you are unhappy...e-mail E-Bay about it...they chose to listen to buyers more than they do the sellers these days, and your input is much more highly valued!

Folks...if your order comes in under 13 ounces, I automatically ship it first class...even when what you pay for shipping is less than what the post office charges.  Remember I am also charged for the delivery confirmation that everyone takes for granted, and first class parcel charges are more than what you think regular first class mail is.

Now this is approximately 2 dvds, 3 if they are single title, lightweight without cardboard overcases or 2 disc editions.  Some sets do fall into the under 13 ounces, MOST do not.  After that 13 ounce mark it has to go either media, or priority as the choice, and if you do not want to wait for media mail you have the choice to pay for the upgrade to priority mail.  In some cases, some of you have seen free upgrades to priority...this depends on how many dvds are purchased in a lot, and since I have my postal worker pick up my packages I must include one priority package each time.  Most times I tend to pick reoccurring buyers and bidders, sometimes sets, it just depends.

Media mail is SLOW...I understand that but if it doesn't come under 13 ounces it cannot go that way.

Hello!

Decided to play with the custom pages to hopefully answer a few most commonly asked questions!

Shipping Questions:

Yes! I do combine shipping and 99.99% of the items in the store or at auction!  If I do have any exception I will note it in the ad.  First though, when you see the special shipping prices on the beanz please note, E-Bay DOES NOT neccessarily get the shipping correct, when it goes to the flat fee.  E-Bay only knows to keep charging .25 for each item! Also if you are buying anything in bulk, do not go thru checkout for each item, nor pay individually for each item! Just e-mail when you are thru, I will combine for you and send you an invoice!  Or if you are savvy at Paypal you can take the discount yourself to make the shipping come out correctly!

If you are mixing and matching different items such as books with beanz, etc., keep in mind that books, video tapes, and DVD's can go media mail but the beanz can't.  There is a really neat flat rate priority box, priced at 8.25 any and all I can shove in this box goes for that rate!  Actually have used this to send stuff to my son in Iraq, filled almost 18 lbs of items, books, candy, etc, and it would have been close to 33 dollars otherwise.  Now this box is not huge, but it will fit golden books and beanz items nicely!

US bidders...please do not get confused between US rates and International rates.  In most cases with books and beanz I can usually add items for about .25 each, in some cases .50 each.  When we get into heavier packages, we will always ship based on weight, and will give you the cheapest rate.

International and Canadian bidders....Yes, adding additional books seems an incredibly high price per book, but airmail rates went thru the roof on 1/9/6, and I wasn't always charging correctly to begin with.  Keep in mind that yours will always be based on weight, and you will have a choice of either airmail or economy rates.  The 1.00 per book is not set in stone!

Shipping time.....I know that E-Bay started doing this get it fast thing, and no, I have not listed any of my items with it....Why?  In about 95% of the time I will ship next day after payment is recieved and verified.  (Personal checks are the exception) but I am not a corporation, and I do this as a full time hobby while hubby drives.  Life, (especially my granddaughter) does tend to intrude, and it might be a couple of days before I ship.  International goes once a week, either on Mondays or Fridays.  I try not to let it pile up on me though.

Feedback....Feedback is only left once you have left yours, no exceptions!  This tells me the transactions was completed to your satisifaction.  If there are issues to your order, e-mail me before leaving a negative or neutral, most problems can be solved in this manner.  I can and will leave appropriate feedback as given to me.

Also, because I get items from a variety of sources, "smells" might be an issue.  I try to do the best I can to fumigate, but if you are incredibly touchy please keep this in mind!

Ask questions....I am usually at my puter about 12-13 hours a day, about 7 days a week.  Sometimes more sometimes less.  I check the mail at E-Bay about once an hour and at yahoo about every 2 hours or so unless I have an ongoing dialogue with someone about items.  No, I do not use yahoo messenger, I was getting tired of the idiots clicking on the name and talking dirty....only take that from my husband of 25 years!

Have Fun......My store is everchanging!  I can have beanz, or books, or glass, or........new items, collectible items, antique items (depends on your definition of antique!) or just fun items! I usually put at the top of my pages a bit about what is going into the store, what is on auction, or any delays i may be having.  So enjoy the store, it is always changing!
