The LaserDisc or LD is the father to the DVD. First manufactured in 1977 and the last was 2001. A LaserDisc is 12 inches in diameter and will Not play in a DVD player. It requires a LaserDisc Player. LaserDisc players can be acquired on eBay for as low as $25 and as much as $5,000 for a perfect Pioneer reference LaserDisc Player.
