Please note that I do not receive all the money a buyer remits for shipping charges; Paypal takes a real cut. Therefore I cannot charge precisely - assuming I could even ascertain that with precision ahead of time - what the PO charges me or I would lose every time I ship. The same holds true for the charge for insurance.  I do keep my shipping charges to the minimum; I do not profit from them. Figure in a bare modicum for tape, and for the retrieval of clean packaging material, and you will see there is certainly no margin.

As a service I am able to encase any given dustjacket in a clear removable wrap for 1 extra dollar, just ask and ye shall receive.  Often I have done so already - this will be noted in the item description - in which case there is no extra charge.
