Please provide the personalization information for your tag(s) in the special instruction box during checkout.  Please provide the color & personalization (line 1, line 2, etc) for each tag purchased. 

The personalization information must be provided in the special instructions box during checkout. The box will appear on the Review and Place Order Page after you've entered your shipping address/preference . If it is not provided there, your order will be delayed while we attempt to locate the information as time permits. If the color is not specified, we will chose one for you so as not to delay your order.

Most tags will hold 4 lines of personalization, some only 2 or 3. See the item description for the number of lines allowed for the tag you are purchasing. Some tags designated as 'Tiny' or 'Small' are limited to 2 lines of 15 characters each (see item description). Our limitation on the number of characters is the ideal maximum, some tags may hold more if necessary. Keep in mind that the more you put on it, the smaller the print will be. We cannot guarentee the readability of lines containing more than 20 characters.

GRAB BAG TAGS - These are tags from our mystery bag of tags in all shapes, sizes & colors. If you purchase a GRAB BAG tag, please keep in mind we are literally pulling a tag out of a bag. You may not select a shape, color or size. If you would like to tell us whether it is a large or small pet, we will try to 'grab' accordingly.

FONTS - We will use the font that is most readable based on the personalization you submit, normally Comic Sans or Arial. However, if you would like a specific font, please make your request in the special instructions box during Checkout. We will do our best to accomodate it, provided we have the font available and the results are readable. If in our judgement the tag would not be readable, we reserve the right to use the font of our choice.

A split ring is included with each tag for attachment to the pet's collar. If you want an S hook instead, please let me know in the special instruction box during checkout.

PERSONALIZATION - We will engrave just like you give it to us!  This means:
If you capitalize, we capitalize. If you don't capitalize, we won't capitalize. We spell it like you spell it. If you put a space, we put a space. If you abbreviate, we abbreviate. You put quotes, we put quotes,  etc. etc. :-)  If you want us to use judgement on the tag to make it more readable, please let us know.

TIPS on PERSONALIZATION - Remember that the more characters you use, the smaller the engraving will be in order to fit it on.  The longest line dictates the size of the characters on all the lines. You want the largest letters possible so that Grandma down the street can read the tag and call you. You also want as much info as necessary to get your dog back to you - consider using more than 1 tag.  When writing your personalization:
-Abbreviate whenever possible (use Rd instead of Road)
-Leave out punctuation if not necessary for clarity (use Lodi CA instead of Lodi, CA)
-Leave out the obvious (use Boston instead of Boston, MA 91234)
-Enter phone numbers like this 800-555-1212  (vs (800) 555-1212 which takes up more space)
-Consider the shape of the tag and if possible put the longest line at the widest part of the tag (for example - the heart shape tag is widest at the top, so put the longest line 1st or 2nd - this enables the characters to be larger throughout the tag).
-Stay away from fancy fonts. They may look cute, but can Grandma read it?  Best fonts are simple - we primarily use Comic Sans, Arial, or Jester - they are very readable when engraved.
