It has been hectic since August 11th! We were not planning on leaving Burwell.

Due to the huge amount of furniture & antique inventory, we are overwhelmed with this enormous undertaking!

We are blessed that the city of Sargent wanted EARTHJUNK as part of their business community!

We apologize to all our online customers that drove long distances to Burwell, Nebraska and could not relax with a complementary margarita or glass of wine.

The city of Sargent has granted us a liquor license. After you shop our wheelchair accessible furniture gallery, you will be invited to stroll past the Art Gallery to Ethan's.

Earthjunk's corporate headquarters will be located in The Sargent District Hospital. The size of the hospital meets all our current needs. In addition to the furniture gallery, art gallery & restaurant/bar (Ethan's) there is also room for Pride Packing, a online listing & pricing studio and a furniture photo taking station.

Online customers will no longer have to go up & down 4 levels of steps with no freight elevator!

We are excited about having a huge parking lot surrounded with old growth trees! We have plenty of shade for our out of state furry friends that travel along to pick up furniture.

Mrs. EarthJunk, Cindee, was born in the Sargent Hospital so she is returning to ground zero.

The Historic Burwell Butter Factory is now packed up and ready to move into the historic Abbott Building at 417 Main Street Sargent. The library will be next door in the historic bank building. The extensive Kitchen portion of the Butter Factory will be in the second adjacent building.

Q:How do I find the location of my closest Greyhound terminal?
A:Go to www.shipgreyhound.com. Click on the locations (brown) tab. Click on your state. View all the cities in your state that your furniture could be shipped to. Select your pickup terminal & email the location of your pickup terminal along with your personal phone number to earthjunk@earthjunk.com
Q:What services does my Greyhound shipping charge include?
A:It includes a small percentage of the time and gas it takes to drive the packages 166 miles to the terminal. The PROTECT IT foam wall is an extra charge. The PROTECT IT foam wall is optional at buyer discretion.
Q:When can I expect my order to arrive?
A:Greyhound ships as availablity allows, meaning the passengers baggage loads first. Greyhound has been as fast as 3 days or as long as 3 weeks. The heavier (85-99 lbs) and larger packages are the ones that take the longest to arrive at your local terminal.
Q:How long do I have to pick up my package?
A:Greyhound terminals allow 3 days for you to pick up your package. Most terminals are willing to work with you if you need longer. Some stations charge daily storage if you do not respond or return their phone call to pick the item up once 3 days have past. Motor freight terminals have the same basic procedure as Greyhound terminals.
Q:How often do you ship Greyhound?
A:He travels the 166 miles when the truck is full. The truck gets full every 10-17 days. If we are traveling to town on another errand we will take your package even it is the only one. We make every effort to ship as quickly as possible. Your package then leaves Greyhound as space under the bus allows.
Q:What is the advantage of shipping Greyhound?
A:Greyhound does not have a 50 dollar surcharge for large items. Greyhound is unable to stack other boxes on top due to the size of the storage under the bus. Greyhound items can not fall off a conveyor belt. Greyhound items are personally handled similar to the premium blanket wrap. Greyhound has not broken furniture like other carriers.
Q:Why do you need my phone number?
A:Greyhound will not let us ship to you without your phone number. Two contact phone numbers are appreciated.
Q:Can I track my Greyhound shipment online?
A:No. Greyhound has sold the Nebraska line to Black Hills Stage Line. The Nebraska line is not computerized. You will not be able to track it online.
Q:Who pays your packer?
A:We or the consignor pays our packer for all his labor and time. Although we have been buying Tell City on eBay since 1998 we have not yet received a furniture item as well packed! The packer enjoys posting the buyer complements on his bulletin board. He takes great pride in the quality of his work!
Q:Why is shipping furniture slow?
A:Due to the high price of gasoline, all trucks wait for full loads before they travel. There are many other factors beyond our personal control on furniture shipment. Please do not bid on our furniture if you are unhappy with the limited shipping options available in this rural community. We try our best but do not own or control the shippers.
Q:Will I know when my Greyhound shipment ships?
A:Yes, we will email you once your furniture has shipped. This email will contain more directions and details about your shipment including the bus bill number.
