IMPORTANT NOTICE TO ALL BUYERS ... eBAY POLICY CHANGE
Effective 09/22/09, eBay removed my ability to offer you optional USPS/UPS Insurance at check-out, nor can I even mention it is available. I have always stated that Insurance was required only on certain fragile or high value items and was included in the shipping cost [at actual shipper's rates, not an inflated, made-up amout]. For all other items, you could choose to insure your purchase at actual rates at check-out ... this option has been taken away from you. eBay's suggestion is for sellers to add Insurance into the item's price or handling fee and note this in the listing. I don't think it's up to me to make that decision for you. The buyer should have the choice of purchasing Insurance in the event of loss or damage in transit and it would have been quite simple if eBay had just made available this option at actual shipper rates for you to select. I regret this change but have no control in the matter ... if you wish to make other arrangements, please contact me at the end of the sale.
INCORRECT UPS RATES USING SHIPPING CALCULATOR
The Shipping Calculator has lately been showing incorrect rates for UPS by undercharging, which I do not know until I print the shipping label. I have written to eBay and PayPal and they suggest hiking up the weight or adding into a handling fee, neither of which I find acceptable. If the amount paid is insufficient I will contact you and request an additional payment to cover the difference, or you can opt to cancel the purchase. The USPS rates are correct; it is only the UPS rates that are affected. I regret the inconvenience but have no control over the matter; hopefully, they will correct this problem quickly.
