What You Will Find In The ELEGANT MEMORIES Store

We began as collectors of fine American-made glassware, and evolved into traders.  Our favorites, and therefore areas of expertise, are Cambridge, Duncan Miller, Fenton, Fostoria, Heisey, Imperial, Morgantown, New Martinsville, Paden City, Tiffin and Westmoreland.  Occasionally, we run across great pieces from the less-prolific manufacturers and we'll list those for your viewing (and hopefully, purchasing) pleasure!  Our interests have expanded, and now we carry some china.  We primarily focus on Noritake, Metlox, Royal Doulton and other of the more popular English & American manufacturers.  We are in the process of remodeling, which means MOVING our entire inventory.  This gives us the chance to dig through forgotten boxes, adding to the store listings.  We will also try to add new photos or improve the quality of the photos for items currently in the store.  Hopefully, we find within our stash just the piece for which you were searching.  If not, please e-mail us with any requests; we're always looking for another excuse to buy glass/china!!

How Do We List Our Goods

We research all of the pieces listed on the website, trying to accurately identify and describe each item.  Our reference materials are listed for most manufacturers, so you may use the same books to confirm our identifications.  The goods we sell generally are previously owned and used.  In the Condition Comments for each item, we attempt to identify anything that is noticeable as prior usage.  Most will, at the least, have rub marks from sitting in a cupboard with other dishes stacked on them.  Since we are the buyer's eyes in examing the condition of the goods, we try to describe anything that catches our eye; even if we have to hold it up to a bright light to see it!  At least one photograph is included with each listing.  Unfortunately, our skills as photographers are limited so you may see reflections or flashes in the glass.  A black background is used for some crystal pieces, which does a great job of also showing lint and dust in the photograph.  Please excuse our dust!

Pricing and Additional Costs

We try to provide our customers with quality goods at reasonable prices.  Shipping charges, including insurance, are charged at our estimated actual cost.  For more on Shipping, see the additional Shipping page.  We are located in Sherrills Ford, North Carolina and the state thinks it is providing valuable services to our business.  Therefore, we must charge sales tax on all shipments within North Carolina, which is currently 8.00% on total purchase.  If you are a dealer and can provide us with a resale certificate, the NC sales tax will not be collected.
