Block Layout for Quilts
|
|
As stated in my about me page, I have been making quilts since about 1986. In 1988, I was issued patent #4,724,468 on a process I developed for printing on fabric with a copier/printer.
I have made so many quilts and printed so many blocks through the years. A standard question I have always been asked is how to figure the blocks and sizes. I use 11x11 inch size squares because from 45" wide muslin, I can get four cuts across.
Another question I receive is "How can you copy copyrighted material? Copyrights prior to 1923 belong to the Domain and one is free to copy without infringing. I love to collect old books and make them into Storybook Quilt Blocks.
You can print out these grids, color/number the blocks, sash, and borders. I hope they are helpful to you. If you have any questions, please feel free to contact me. Charlene
