All what you need to do if that happened is to try one off these methods:
METHOD I: Hold down RESUME/CANCEL button for 5 seconds or more.
METHOD II: Press RESUME/CANCEL button once.
METHOD III: Press START button once, select COLOR button for color cartridge; BLACK button for black cartridge.
Canon MX310 refused my new cartridges and the light flashing?
Hold down STOP/RESET button for 5 seconds or more. Then
Press MENU button until FAX SETTING appears.
Select RX SETTING, press Ok.
Auto Print RX: ON, press Ok.

Who to disable ink level for Dell printer Dell Series 5 (922, 924, 942, 944, 962, and 964)?
1/ From the WINDOWS click START, Programs, Dell Printers (ex: Dell 922) then Dell All in One Center.
2/ Click on Maintain, Click on Ink Level, and Click on Advanced tab then click on More Option command button.
3/ Click on the circle option button never display the printing status.

What the stander yield mean?
Page Yield is an approximation of the number of standard pages that can be printed with one cartridge, usually measured at 5% page coverage. 5% coverage is a standard 8.5 x 11 inch page with a light letterhead, address and three paragraphs of text double spaced.
What the yield mean if I print using web browse or mixed text and graphics?
If you print mixed text and graphics or WebPages your page coverage is closer to 15% and therefore the number of pages printed with each cartridge will be less.
What the yield mean if I print photo?
If you are printing photos your page coverage is close to 100% and the number of printed photos will be much less than the amount the number of pages you would be able to print if you were just printing standard text documents.
