The right person will be articulate, organized, honest and professional and live within 30 miles of Salt Lake City, Utah and have:

• A computer, high speed internet, and general computer skills
• A secure smoke-free location to store merchandise

A superior candidate may also have:

• Prior experience with selling on eBay
• Experience with eBay’s Blackthorne Pro software
• Experience using eBay research tools such as Hammertap and/or Terapeak
• Long-term availability
• Digital photography equipment and skills
• Web design experience or HTML knowledge
• Experience with marketing and writing winning ad copy
• Knowledge of affiliate marketing

Pay

Some unpaid training is involved; length will depend on previous experience and goals. Compensation will be determined on ability to accomplish the listing process professionally and effectively. The rate for listings is $5-$10/hour plus commission of 5-20% of the sale. With experience several items can be listed in an hour. Some additional, non-listing tasks may be paid on an hourly basis of $10 -$20/hour. Payment is on independent contractor basis, and you will be responsible for your taxes.

Responsibilities 

As FolkSeller entry-level staff your primary responsibilities would be product listings and shipment. Product listings have two components: research, and posting creation and management.  

Product Research 

Each product must be researched to create the highest quality listing possible. Quality of listings is based on two criteria: the ability to sell items for the maximum dollar amount and the ability to satisfy customers with good communication and service, as rated by eBay’s Detailed Seller Ratings. Profit maximization research is done via two research programs designed for eBay: Hammertap and Terapeak. These programs provide a broad spectrum of data on previous sales and listings. These data are interpreted to determine vital sales factors including: keywords for title searches, categories, listing type, and duration.  World Wide Web research is done to ensure good communication and service.  The manufactures web site provides useful information and marketing on products and other sites may provide knowledge of market value.  

Product Posting and Managing 

eBay's Blackthorn Pro is used to create and manage postings. FolkSeller eBay Store has pre-made professional templates, which include payment, shipping and return policies.  Descriptions should be written accurately and articulately utilizing the research with product benefits, features, and specifications. All writing should reflect our commitment to honest communication and thorough service.  

Shipping 

Shipping is based on FolkSeller eBay Store policies. Most Products will be shipped the same day as payment is received.
