An Internet Community
is a group of people, able to use Email, and sharing similar interests
who can communicate with the whole group by sending a single Email
to the other members.

in the world with a common interest in ANTIQUARIAN AND COLLECTABLE
MAPS, ATLASES, PRINTS, PLATE BOOKS and related items.
What is the purpose
of the MAPSANDPRINTSGB Internet Community?
The purpose of the MAPSANDPRINTSGB
Internet Community is to enable map and print professionals and
collectors to send articles of mutual interest to or to request
advice from other members of the Community and to send lists of
items for sale or wanted to other members of the Community, with
a single Email. Members of the Community can respond to messages,
either individually to the sender (default setting) or, if the
reply may be of interest to other members, to the whole group.
What is the intended
result of the MAPSANDPRINTSGB Internet Community?
The intended result of
the MAPSANDPRINTSGB Internet Community is to increase trade between
and to enable and enliven members of the Community. In order to
drive more visitors to their web sites, subscribers with appropriate
sites will be invited to exchange links with MAPSANDPRINTSGB
and to join the MAPSANDPRINTSGB WEB RING (when up and running).
What is the cost
of joining the Community?
At this time (Jul 2002)
the Community is FREE to join (discreet ads at the end of postings
pay for the Community). A small charge ( approx.: GB£25/US$40
p.a.) may be introduced at a later date.

message with a password which you can use to manage your participation
in the Community at their web site (http://www.yahoogroups.com)
You must reply to this 'ONElist confirm' message to join
the Community.
You can also manage your participation by Email. Details of how
to do this and the Community etiquette are contained in the 'welcome'
message which will be sent to you by the Community owner. You
may leave ('unsubscribe from') the Community at any time. The
Community will take some time to build a substantial membership,
please be patient. Information about the size of the Community
will be provided as it grows.
N.B. Joining an 'Internet
Community' does not mean that you will be 'spammed' with loads
of junk mail. The Community is designed for people who share a
common interest in our business, participants details are confidential
(unless individuals themselves chose to share them with other
members of the Community) and there are strict rules for participating
in the Community. The rules (etiquette) will be sent to you when
you apply to join, you can chose not to subscribe at that time.
