Flash Photography
Every photographer looks for perfect
light. However, quality of light is seldom ideal. Using flash is always
an option. How to use flash light wisely distinguishes a photographer
from peers. Here are some tips for flash photography.
Built-in flash is convenient and useful,
but the light is often too hard or even harsh for the subject. You can
always obtain better effect by using an external flash. The head of an
external flash can swivel and rotate to bounce light off walls,
ceilings, or reflectors. This softens the light, fills shadows, and
spreads the light over a much larger area.
Flashes
We carry three external flashes which fit almost all cameras with or without hot-shoe connector. Our Thyristor Twin Flash
works with all cameras with hot shoe in manual mode. It has an external
reflector that can reflect indirect light onto the subject. This
reflector reflects soft and natural lighting with a surface light
source and eliminates shadow on your subject. When you shoot directly
at your subject, you might switch off the sub-reflector and use single
flash only. Its versatile energy-saving thyristor circuit provides you
with quicker recycling times, especially when the subject is close.
Another Automatic Flash we carry uses a light sensor mounted on the front of the flash. It is
activated when the flash is triggered by the camera. It monitors
the subject luminance when being illuminated by the flash discharge
until it reaches its preset level. (The preset level is determined by
the aperture and ISO given to the flash.) The sensor will automatically
curtail the flash discharge to provide a correct exposure. This
flash works with all cameras with standard hot shoe connector.
In case you have grasped the basics of flash photography, the Vivitar 285HV will be long-term partner to look for. Camera-rotate flash bracket |

Flash brackets are mostly used by wedding photographers to move the
flash farther from the lens axis. It helps reduce over-exposure,
red-eye in photos of people as well as changes the angle of the light.
We offer two kinds of brackets: a Camera-rotate one and the other Flash-rotate.
The former attaches to your camera by tightening the screw against the
bottom of the camera while the movable head of the latter allows you to
position your flash horizontally or in a vertical position.
Flash Diffusers
Light produced by flash bulb is sometimes too harsh to apply in some
circumstances. A flash diffuser is your perfect aid in softening the
hard light. We have a very handy Foldable Diffuser
that can be easily folded into a round shape with diameter less than
11.5cm which can be attached directly to the lens of your camera via
