HINTS AND TIPS ON BUYING PLUS SIZE CLOTHING
For you plus size gals out there...Did you ever go shopping for clothing and find it to be the very exhausting and depressing. Nothing fits right, everything is either to small, to big, not enough room here, to much room there. It makes you look heavier, makes you look dumpy. All clothing is cut differently....and many manufacturers think that plus size women Do not like trendy stylish clothing... AAAAAGGGGGHHHHH how frustrating. Well here are some tips and hints to help you avoid those frustrating shopping escapdes and give you a more slimming appearance.
1. Don't choose clothing that is too small. It emphazies your bludges.
2. If you are heavier on the bottom wear boot leg pants. Gives a symmetrical look.
3. If you have a heavier waistline wear an empire waist top. Avoid belts and pleats.
4. Avoid horizontal lines. They tend to make you look heavier.
5. Wear fabrics that drape your body not cling to it.
6. Choose dark vibrant colors. They give a more slimming effect.
7. Wear one piece dresses. They give a long slimmer appearance.
8. Choose the proper under garments. What a differnce this makes.
9. Choose a shoe with at least an inch heal.
10. Choose skirts and are longer than they are wide.
11. Avoid belts. They usually cut you in half in appearance and make you look short and squatty.
12. Add shoulder pads to tops to make them hang correctly.
13. Choose clean lined clothing without big embellishments such as buttons, bows, belts, ect.
14. Accessorize.....wear jewelry...necklace and earrings. This brings attention away from your body and up to your face.
14. Believe it or not....carry a bigger handbag. A smaller handbag makes your body look larger.
15. Don't choose a handbag that rest on your hips. It brings attention to your hips.
16. To add color to your outfits wear jackets, blazes or cardigans longer than your hips. Keep these garments open to give a symmetrical look.
17. Wear scarves around your neck with long dangling ends. They give an elongated appearance.
18. Wear V, sweetheart and cowelnecklines for a longer, slimmer symmetrical appearance.
19. Wear a gently pointed shoe. They are more lengthening than a rounded toe shoe. Avoid straps, bows, and buckles on the shoe. They make the ankle and leg look heavier.
20. Boots....wear a shirt long enough to cover the top of your boots. This creates a more slenderizing vertical line. |
