In September of 2008, eBay imposed lower shipping rates and we complied. We lowered our shipping rates and raised our prices. But, our competitors did not comply with the new eBay limits. This left us with higher prices and killed our sales. We complained for nearly 6 months - but eBay ignored us.

Our totals (item cost plus shipping) were still lower, but the eBay buyer just went the other way.

Finally, in March of 2009, eBay acknowledged to our account representative that they were not enforcing the new shipping rules. So - up went the shipping and down went the prices! No surprise to us - our sales went right back up. Go figure!

As an example:

• Chartbuster Monthly discs were $14.88 with $2.95 shipping, for a total of $17.83.
• They are now $11.88 with $4.95 shipping for a total of $16.83.
