The Arizona Humane Society is the State of Arizona's largest nonprofit animal welfare and protection agency. Annually, the shelter takes in more than 43,000 unwanted, sick, abused and injured animals. A private, nonprofit, 501 (c)(3) organization, AHS is funded by donations and does not receive any government funding.
