| | | Welcome to my Ebay Store. Here you will find one of the most (if not the most) comprehensive and significant collections of professional photographs from the city of Havana, Cuba. All of the views were taken between the years 1952 and 1956 when Cuba, and especially Havana, were at their peak.
This collection is very important historically as it allows us to view the reality and beauty of the Cuba of yesteryear during pre-revolutionary times.
Originally photographed by my father, the renowned Cuban photographer José Abraham, the entire collection of original 4X5 negatives have been passed on to me (his son) after his death. These negatives were one of the few items that we were allowed to take when we left the island in 1962. Currently a portion of the collection is being offered here for sale on a limited basis.
We feel these are the "cream of the crop" in terms of showing the best overall views of this magnificent city.
PRINT DETAILS: The Collection's original 4X5 silver halide negatives have been chemically preserved to archival standards and digitized following International Museum preservation guidelines. The resulting museum quality print is a blend of the latest state-of-the-art technology with the antique look and feel of doubleweight watercolor paper. It is printed on Somerset Velvet fine art paper with Ultrachrome archival inks to insure a beautiful & longlasting fine art print. Print size is 11X14. The print includes a signed Certificate of Authenticity with embossed Seal.
NOTE: The image displayed here is a low resolution version. The actual print will have all the exquisite detail that only a 4X5 original negative can produce. And of course, the copyright watermark which appears here will NOT appear on the actual print. |
