What is Duraflex? Extreme Dimensions’ new Duraflex aerodynamics is a revolutionary product
which combines the advantages of fiberglass, plastic, and flex resins to obtain
its unique features.
Duraflex is a combination of fiberglass, plastic, and flex resins resulting in
the best of both worlds. Duraflex (PFRP) products have a higher durability rate,
reducing damage rates up to 75%, while still retaining its flexibility and
staying true to form. Every Duraflex product is inspected through a rigorous
quality control process giving consumers the highest quality product available
with superior craftsmanship. This process ensures that Duraflex products are
free from normal fiberglass deficiencies including waviness, spider cracks,
chips, and gel coat damage. Duraflex products come finished with a shiny black
gel coat, high quality mesh, hardware kit, and an installation guide. With
such attention to detail, Duraflex products are surprisingly affordable, roughly
50% of the cost of a comparable high quality JDM product. Duraflex products
include many advantages of both fiberglass and poly- urethane aerodynamics,
while leaving out most of the disadvantages. Duraflex aerodynamics is
recommended for the consumer with a medium budget and wants to get the best
value for the amount of money spent. The main difference between Duraflex and
fiberglass is the quality. The fitment between Duraflex and fiberglass is
the same.
Why is it superior to
conventional materials? Duraflex products obtain a much higher durability rate than the average
fiberglass product, reducing damage rates up to 75%. All Duraflex products
feature a glossy black gel coat, a quality metal mesh, general hardware kit, and
a general guide to help you install the product. Conventional fiberglass
products have cracks throughout the gel coat, are thin enough to see through,
have seams down the middle of the bumper, and are brittle or weak. In essence,
our new Duraflex products will give you greater durability at the cost of
fiberglass. Please refer to our website for downloadable videos of this new
revolutionary product.
What kind of quality control
does my Duraflex product go through? All Duraflex parts go through a 10 point inspection. Each and every part is
checked for waviness, chips in the primer, poor cutting along the edges, cracks,
etc. This ensures that all our customers receive the highest quality product
available. Due to the rigorous inspection process, our customers save on
preparation labor resulting in a reduced total cost for installation.
What kind of body shop should
I have this kit installed by and is it hard to install these products? We highly recommend professional installation by an experienced custom shop.
Not all body shops have experience in installing aftermarket body kits. We do
not recommend any of our customers to install the products themselves. Please be
advised that we highly recommend that you take our products to a professional.
When looking for a body shop to install your kit, look for one with experience
in doing aftermarket installations. A body shop with 10 years experience in
doing collision work, but no experience in aftermarket body kits is not
recommended. It would be better to take the kit to a body shop with just 5 years
of experience but specializes in installing aftermarket body kits. We do not
recommend our customers doing the installs by themselves.
How would I install these
products? All aerodynamics are manufactured with fiberglass unless otherwise noted.
Due to the material used in production, the parts will NOT be a direct bolt-on.
These parts may require prepping, sanding, shaving, filling gaps, cutting, or
other types of body work. These modifications may include removal or cutting of
the reinforcement bars. By complying with our policies, customer understands the
procedure in installing the body kit. We HIGHLY recommend that a professional
custom shop with fiberglass body kit experience perform the installation.
Refunds may be issued on extreme fitment cases.
Do I have to test fit the
parts before I paint them? Yes, we recommend that you test fit all parts before you paint them. This
will insure that you have the correct parts and also allow you to check the fit
prior to prepping and painting. All parts that are drilled, prepped, and/or
painted cannot be returned for credit or exchange.
What is necessary to prepare
parts for paint? All Extreme Dimensions’ products require that you test fit before doing
anything else. Once the parts are test fitted, it may require some shaving,
trimming, sanding, molding, and/or filling for proper fitment. You will sand
and/or wet sand the parts before primering and painting. Most body shops will
begin by fitting, sanding and then primering the part(s) before painting.
What kind of hardware would I
need for installation? Your OEM hardware should be more than enough to install our products. In
some cases, you may need additional hardware such as self taping screws,
double-sided tape, etc. to attach our parts on to your car.
Do I need to remove the
reinforcement bar? The removal of the reinforcement bar may be necessary for the fitment of our
aftermarket products. In some cases, the reinforcement bar may need to be
trimmed down for fitment of our products.
Do your products fit as well
as my OEM parts? All Extreme Dimensions’ products are made to the closest OEM standards
possible, but since they are all hand laid we cannot guarantee a perfect fit.
Also with the vast number of possibilities of why products do not fit perfectly,
such as installation on vehicles which had been involved in an accident, heat,
poor installation, etc, it is very difficult to guarantee perfect fitment.
