So many people ask... “ So, what is a Premium Domain? “
Here is what we have came up with:
1) First and for most the name must NOT be based on a trademark.
2) Should be a generic domain name
3) It should NOT contain hyphens or numbers. If you have no choice
just be careful of the placement within the domain name.
4) Be careful with typo domains, some can be profitable but more then
often they should be avoided.
5) Always make sure that the word(S) sequence is the usual/same
word sequence used to describe the term
6) Most say the domain should not be composed of more then four words
my thoughts are anything over three words is more risky and/or less profitable.
7) It's harder and harder every day to obtain Premium .com extensions,
but there are still thousands of options of .com domains. DOT COM
should always be your first choice since it's best known on the Internet &
was the first to come about.
8) You should always check a system like overture.com to see how many times
a month a word is searched. I came up with some GRADES for each count:
A+ 100,000-500,000 A 25,000-50,000 B+ 50,001-99,999
B 15,000-24,999 C+ 10,000-14,999 C 5,000-9,999
D+ 1000-4,999 D 500 & below
This is only our opinion and what we found to work best for us. You should
always do your own research and evaluate all areas of a domain before you
decide on one.
