You don't have to buy from us because there are many sellers that have
authentic Coach products for you to choose from but we would rather see
you buy from them than be fooled into purchasing a fake! We
HATE fakes and do not want you to be taken by these unethical
sellers! Here are a few things to watch for:
- A 1 day auction - because they know they are
selling fakes and want to get it sold before anybody notices. 3 day
auctions over the weekend - what - do they really think the folks
from Trust and Safety at eBay do not work weekends?
- Poor construction - you can see it in the
photos if they actually have photos that are theirs.
- Dust bags do NOT prove the authenticity of
any purse! Booklets and Care Instructions prove nothing either!
These can be copied, acquired or counterfeited as easily as the
purse itself!
- Just one photo in the listing – maybe even
that one was taken off the Coach website? Well, what bag are you
actually going to receive? A real one from Coach or a counterfeit
bag that is so obviously fake they did not want to include a photo?
- Listings that do not actually state the
items are authentic - although sometimes sellers of counterfeits
will say they are real when they are not – so even if they say it
is real there is no guarantee.
- Listings that state the Coach item is a
Factory Second and made be faded or have slight stitching problems -
are FAKES! Coach's Factory Stores do not sell seconds either.
- See a Coach Signature Collection bag with
Signature lining? It is a fake. Coach does NOT put signature lining
in signature bags!
- Patchwork front and signature back on a
purse? Bad Fake! Coach makes the purses with material on the front
and back of their purses that match!
- If a seller does not take paypal from any
seller beware. How can you get your money back if you get a fake?
Have they been banned from paypal due to fraudulent sales
and too many charge backs?
- If a seller is keeping the bidder's ID
private is it because they do not want you to be told you are
bidding on a fake?
- I see sellers who say they are Power sellers
(to be one you must sell $1000 a month for three months) but have no
feedback from selling items - how is this possible?
- Actually read the feedback to see if it is
from buying or selling and what kinds of items - is it from selling
the type of item you are considering purchasing from this seller -
items similar to what you are bidding on? If not, reconsider placing
that bid.
- And lastly don’t forget what our mothers taught all of
us … if it seems too good to be true it probably is!
The Great Dust Bag Debate
We
have been told that if a dust bag is not included with a purse, than the
purse must be counterfeit and if a dust bag is included, the bag is
therefore real. This is one of the BIGGEST fallacies we have heard
in a long time.
Many
of the purses we purchase do not come with dust bags. As
a general rule, when we get the few dust bags we get, we do not
include them with the purses. If you need a dust bag, you can check
our other listings - we often have a few available for sale.
You
will find that on the most expensive handbags we offer, we round up dust
bags to include - it will be noted in the listing!
