I have been a collector of zoids myself since the mid 1980s when I was living in Japan. I honestly don't remember what my first wind up zoid was (I think it was an Elephantus)but I do remember my first battery operated Zoid. It was an Iron Kong. I remember walking up to the Nichi's department store in Iwakuni Japan and seeing an Iron Kong on display in the front window. At that moment I knew I had to get one. I've been in love with zoids ever since. I now boast a personal collection of over 200 zoids that I have built and proudly on display in my basement (my wife of the past 30+ years still thinks I'm nuts).
