Joan Houlehen is a graphic artist/designer and former gallery owner. She is an abstractionist working in oil and tempera. Her work is in the Northwestern Art Collection as well as many other commercial and private collections.
Her work has been featured in the Midwest Living,
Wisconsin Trails, and the Catholic Herald newspaper. Her ornaments have been featured in the Chicago Tribune, the Milwaukee Journal, and in the Gift Shop magazine.
She has curated an International Contemporary Teapot Show for the past 24 years. She has judged many art shows in the Midwest and also lectures on the business of art.
Joan's cards and ornaments are very popular and have an international following.
