The items I create/assemble are a mixture of vintage and new components. The idea is that the jewellery is vintage inspired or has a little old world charm. Some items are reproductions of the past like the floral molded brooches. Very few genuine pieces are available today. I use a lot of raw brass components as they are kind to your skin being nickel and lead free. I also use "dead stock" which is vintage components that have never been used but are no longer being manufactured. Therefore I don't always have large quantities of the same items. If the listing is "Gold or Silver" it will be plated and "Antique" is the finish given to the piece and has no reference to it's age.
Lucite beads are highly durable. They are not molded the same as plastic beads, therefore, you will not see lines in your lucite beads. I was once a snob to the "plastic" bead, but lucite has changed that. The detail in many vintage lucite beads is beautiful.
Celluloid, generally regarded to be the first thermoplastic, it was first created as Parkesine in 1856 and as Xylonite in 1869 before being registered as Celluloid in 1870. Celluloid is easily molded and shaped, and it was first widely used as an ivory replacement.
I am question friendly, please ask as many questions as you like about any of the items.
I have a flat rate shipping policy - $5.00 for regular domestic and $10.00 air mail international regardless of how many items you buy. Single item purchases may be less for domestic, it depends on the item. Registered post incurs extra cost to the buyer.
