I truly enjoyed this opening! Stonehenge Art Gallery is located in the heart of beautiful Old Cloverdale. Nestled in the very center of Montgomery, Alabama, Old Cloverdale is both majestic and historic. Brick paved streets lined with huge magnolias, and the scent of jasmine, make Old Cloverdale the perfect backdrop for this truly beautiful art gallery. Upon entering, I can't help but feel like a child passing through the gates of Disneyland. Beautiful art is everywhere, and the gallery is exquisitely maintained.
I want to personally thank Rusty, the owner, and Mike, the manager, for giving me the opportunity. Barbara and I each painted more than 20 plein air paintings of Montgomery landmarks in order to make the show a success. Local art collectors were very generous, and the turnout was fantastic, even though it was an extremely stormy evening. For all those who came, thank you! For those who have yet to see the show, it will hang in Stonehenge Gallery until March 1st.
