KitchenAid Product Warranty
We are the ONLY Authorized KitchenAid Retailer currently on eBay. Warranties will only be acknowledged for KitchenAid eBay items purchased through the KitchenAid eBay Store / Auctions. Items purchased through any other seller will NOT BE VALID. Please keep this in mind when shopping online auctions. If you have any questions, please email us directly at eBay@shopka.com.
What does "Refurbished" mean?
"Refurbished" just means that the item was sent back to our warehouse and then reconditioned and re-tested to be able to resell at a discounted cost. All refurbished items are resold in good and working condition. The only attribute that is not reconditioned is the paint and cosmetic appeal of the item. Therefore, any refurbished items may have a cosmetic blemish (i.e. scratch, paint chip, stain, etc.). We do not open any of the items before shipping them out of our warehouse, so we cannot tell you if your item will have a blemish or not.
Why was the item sent back in the first place?
There are many reasons an item will be sent back to the warehouse. These include: Overstock of inventory from a retailer, item discontinued, item returned by customer for various reasons, exchanged items, etc. However, all items are reconditioned and re-boxed to sell at a lower cost. Most often these items are in brand new condition, but cannot be sold as "New".
Is the item I am bidding on NEW or REFURBISHED?
Since we sell new and refurbished products, sometimes there may be confusion. Each item listing will specify whether the item is NEW or REFURBISHED right under the product image on the auction page.
If I use the "Buy It Now" purchase option, will I get Free Shipping?
Free Shipping is only offered on selected items in our store, and only with a "Buy It Now" purchase. No regular auction wins will receive free shipping. Please review the entire listing to make sure the item you are purchasing is a Free Shipping item BEFORE you buy. If you are unsure, please email us first. Also, under "Shipping Information" on the listing page, all necessary information is given about the shipping costs and terms. Free Shipping does not apply to Alaska and Hawaii; please email for shipping costs.
If I win an auction and pay immediately, when will I receive my item?
Our items usually ship out within 2-3 business days after payment clears and the order is generated into our system. As for how long it takes to get to you depends on your location. All items ship UPS Ground for the lower 48 states and can take up to 7-10 business days for arrival. Any items shipped to Alaska or Hawaii must be shipped UPS 2nd Day Air.
How much does it cost to ship the item?
Near the bottom right of the auction page you will find a section called "Shipping Information" which provides a products' shipping cost.
United Parcel Service Ground is a flat rate, based on the auction item. We also charge a required insurance amount of $1.50 for all items or invoices of $100.00 or more.
Please remember, if paying by PayPal or Visa/MC, we only ship to "confirmed" addresses to protect ourselves from fraudulent activities.

Will you ship internationally?
Unfortunately, we cannot ship anywhere outside of the United States. This is in part to the fact that our warehouse is not set up to follow Customs' Regulations. Second, our warranties are not valid outside of the United States. We also do not manufacture products that have a European voltage.
Can you ship to a PO BOX?
No, we cannot ship to any PO Box, FPO, or APO addresses. We will need a physical address in order to ship your item, as UPS cannot deliver to those types of addresses. If you have a "confirmed" PayPal address that is a PO Box, you will be able to provide a separate physical address in our checkout system.
What types of payment do you accept?
We accept PayPal payments from "confirmed" addresses ONLY, along with major credit cards (VISA, Mastercard, AMEX, Discover). You will be required to provide the CVV number on the back of your credit card in order to complete checkout. We do not accept payments via cashier's check or any money orders.
Do you charge sales tax?
We charge sales tax in the following states: CT, CA and IL. Please refer to the auction listing for details.
What do I do if I receive the item and it is damaged or missing any pieces as advertised?
Most of all of our products come with a warranty. The Refurbished products come with a 6-Month factory warranty, and NEW products come with a 1-Year warranty. If your item arrives damaged, or missing a part, please consult our About Me page for detailed instructions regarding how to schedule service.
Do you accept returns or exchanges?
We do not accept any returns for any of the items sold on eBay. All SALES ARE FINAL! However, exchanges will be considered on a case-by-case basis. Most items are warranted for exchanges based on the warranty policies.
What do I do if I receive the wrong item?
First and foremost, we put in a lot of effort to send the correct item, but mistakes can happen. If you receive the wrong item, or the wrong color, please email us at ebay@shopka.com to let us know the situation. We will then issue a call tag from UPS, and as soon as the item is in transit, we will send out the correct item.
Do I have to pay the $1.50 shipping insurance?
Shipping insurance is required for all items over $100.00. This cost is not included in the shipping and handling cost. Without this fee, we can not be held responsible for items that are lost, stolen, or damaged while in transit from the carrier. This fee is for the buyer’s protection.
How do I receive a rebate for an item purchased on your eBay site?
Rebates are only available for certain NEW items, and only if there is a rebate being offered on the KitchenAid website. If you purchase a NEW item from our store, and there is a valid rebate available, you can download the rebate form by going to www.shopkitchenaid.com. We do not advertise the rebate as a selling point in any of our listings, so we cannot be responsible for any customers who may or may not receive a rebate. |
